Termination & Moving Out

When you move, you must terminate your lease agreement

Termination of lease agreements for apartments and parking spaces can now be done digitally. Log in to hyresbo.se/Mina Sidor/Mina kontrakt and click on “Terminate contract”. Follow the instructions and identify yourself with BankID. You are also welcome to visit us during our opening hours and sign the termination; in that case, do not forget to bring identification. If there are two of you on the contract, both must sign the termination. Termination of lease agreements for premises must be done manually; contact us by phone at 0515-887550.

The notice period for your apartment is three calendar months, counted from the end of the month that comes closest after the termination date (e.g., if you terminate on April 5, May, June, and July are counted as termination months). In the event of death, a one-month notice period applies.

Apartment viewing

We will contact you before the apartment is shown to the next tenant.

Reading of household electricity

Remember to request a reading of the household electricity by contacting Falbygdens Energi on telephone 0515 – 77 75 00. If you live in a property with IMD (Individual Measurement), you can disregard this.

Internet, TV and telephone

Your internet subscription does not automatically follow you when you move. Remember to cancel or move your services. Contact your provider to notify them of the move or cancellation.

Change of Address

Remember to make a change of address. Go to www.skatteverket.se to be registered at the correct address. If you want mail forwarding, you must order it from Svensk adressändring for a fee www.adressandring.se

Inspection of apartment

Your apartment will be inspected before you move out. A time for inspection can be booked directly upon termination or by contacting our inspector. Feel free to book a time where you as the departing tenant can be present.

An inspection is carried out to ensure that the apartment is clean and that no abnormal wear has occurred. All equipment belonging to the apartment must remain, for example, hat rack, doors, curtain fittings, switch, etc. In the event of damage, missing equipment or abnormal wear on the apartment, you may be liable for compensation. The most common damages for which we charge compensation are damages to wallpaper such as grease stains, drill holes, abrasions and tear marks, as well as burn marks on floors and benches.

Also, remember to clean the apartment thoroughly before moving out. Feel free to use the checklist that was received when the contract was terminated. Apartment storage, balcony and any garage must also be emptied and cleaned. Here, too, you may be liable for compensation if the cleaning is not carried out properly.

If a re-inspection is required, you will be charged for this. In cases where we are forced to hire a cleaning company, you as the departing tenant will also be charged.

Non-recyclable material and discarded furniture must be transported to the recycling center yourself.

Keys

You must return all keys that have been acknowledged. If all keys are not returned, we will need to perform a lock change and you as the departing tenant will be charged.
