Falköpings Hyresbostäder AB’s camera surveillance is based on GDPR and the legal basis of legitimate interest. We conduct camera surveillance to prevent crime, vandalism and serious accidents, support legal claims and address disturbances. This involves ensuring safety and order in and around apartment buildings. The assessment is that the individual’s interest in protection of personal integrity does not outweigh the need for camera surveillance. The personal data processed is images/video.

It is not possible to predict when unauthorized activities occur, therefore we assess that it is necessary to keep the cameras running around the clock. Camera surveillance only takes place in common areas in our rental properties and is not directed at any individual residence or person. The technology used is necessary to fulfill the purpose of the surveillance and does not exceed this.

It is important that personal data is handled with an appropriate degree of security, so that the data does not leak to unauthorized parties. Falköpings Hyresbostäder engages Säkerhetstjänst i Falbygden AB for camera surveillance and has regulated in a data processing agreement that they have technical systems and administrative procedures to achieve an appropriate degree of security in handling personal data.

The recorded material may be shown to a limited group of authorized personnel as well as to our supplier who manages the cameras and the image material. The data may be disclosed to law enforcement authorities, for example the Police, to assist them in their work to investigate crimes or suspicion of crime.

Signs with information about our camera surveillance are located near our cameras. Individuals who appear on film have the right to request confirmation that he/she appears on film, information about the purpose of camera surveillance, information about storage time, request to delete data on film as well as the right to object to camera surveillance, the right to file a complaint with the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection imy@imy.se 08-657 61 00, and request access to all recorded material concerning the individual. Exceptions to disclosing image material may however be made if disclosure would constitute a privacy violation for other persons.

Deletion

The filmed material is deleted without possibility of recovery after 72 hours.
